The focus of the Society is to interview people who have direct experiences of the Sino-Japanese War. Members of the Society have conducted many such interviews in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the US.

The interviewees read the transcripts of the interviews produced by the Society for correctness. The Society keeps the confirmed transcripts for the benefits of current and future historians.
